Delegations from Brasil and Argentina in Gerês

Better and better prepared professionals

The Gerês-Xurés territory (Peneda-Gerês National Park and Baixa Limia-Serra do Xurés National Park) was visited by a delegation from WWF Brazil, together with people responsible for the cross-border cooperation project of the Iguaçu (Brazil) and Iguazu (Argentina) National Parks, represented by the directors and technicians of the two National Parks of those countries.

The main objective of these delegations was to obtain knowledge about the realities of European cross-border parks, and the Peneda-Gerês National Park was one of the chosen ones to visit.

In Terras de Bouro, they were received by the business association Gerês Viver Turismo and by entrepreneurs from the tourism sector, at the invitation of the portuguese representative of the Europarc Federation and the association ADERE-PG, for their knowledge of the Peneda-Gerês National Park and their involvement in the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism – Peneda-Gerês National Park process.
